The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention define Aging in Place as: "the ability live in one's own home and community safely, independently, and comfortably, regardless of age, or ability level". According to AARP, 77% of the people over 50 want to stay in their home as they age. That number jumps to 90% for people over 65.
